We hear from doctors that the bruising on Sampson's lungs is improving. They are able to take him off the oxygen, but keep him on to make him more comfortable, especially while he sleeps. We visit him at 11:00, and again at 7. Surgeon scheduled to talk with us on Wednesday.

Sampson is our 4 year old golden/lab. On March 21, 2009, while we were away for the evening, he ran away from home and was missing for 7 painful days. He was hit by a car on the freeway and suffered a broken pelvis, had a front leg amputated, and serious lung damage from the impact. After undergoing major surgeries to repair the damage and nearly 2 weeks at the VCA Animal Hospital, he is now at home living a normal life. This is the story of his (and our) road to recovery.
Sacramento Bee, this is Linsey.
